“you can’t find bones and skeletons just out and about,” laments the reykjavík-born designer johanna kethusalemsdottir. fortunately, methusalemsdottir gets help from her friends and family in iceland, who collect and ship boxes of skeletons, teeth and other natural discards to her so that she may use them in her jewelry collection, kria. “my studio is filled with bones and weird things that keep me really happy,” says the designer, who moved to new york as a teenager and currently makes every piece by hand in her brooklyn studio. - tmagazine
